Briefly about sublimation technology
Dye sublimation is a term denoting a print production process that uses heat to transfer the dye from the medium to the material. The term sublimation itself means the transformation of a solid substance directly into a gas without melting - an intermediate stage when the state of the substance is liquid. In current practice, this term refers to a digital form of printing, when a mirror image is printed on transfer paper and then transferred to the surface of the printed substrate in a transfer device.
Manufacturing process
Sublimation printing uses the same printers in its production process as other types of printing (solvent, latex, pigment, etc.). However, it does not press directly on the material. Since we very often use media for sublimation, which either cannot be put into the printer by themselves, or do not have a surface suitable for direct printing, we use transfer paper. We print the image on the perfect surface of the transfer paper and then transfer it to the product. After transferring the pigment from the transfer paper, you take the printed product out of the press.

You take out the printed product and the empty transfer paper from the press. |
Use of sublimation printing
Digital sublimation printing is mainly dominated by the textile industry. Typical examples are sportswear, scarves, flags and promotional items such as mugs. But it intervenes more and more intensively in the advertising industry and signmaking. The scope of sublimation is often also advertising items or interior and exterior decorations. The choice for anyone who wants to reduce their printing costs and keep up with environmental conservation trends. Both the technology itself and the products meet essential ecological parameters. Sublimated products such as sheet metal, shaped sheet metal (clocks, cans, packaging), cards, carpets, mugs, key chains, key chains, caps, porcelain, shoes, films, skis, snowboards, wood, are also represented on the Czech and Slovak markets. furniture, advertisements, underwear, belts and many others.
